What small changes can you make now for yourself?

What’s your relationship to change?

There’s been a lot of change in my life recently.  Which, in and of itself is a big change for me, as my entire existence has always been constant and steady.

Just because change is difficult doesn’t mean it isn’t worth it.  We are more resilient and durable than we ever give ourselves credit for, and what’s waiting on the other side is always better than we can imagine.

First, we need that initial push, which is usually the toughest step.  And then we need to lean into the discomfort that will arise, while reminding ourselves that the only way to get to our destination is “through” that discomfort.

This change doesn’t need to look like a life-changing, cross country move.  It could be as something like asking your partner for back-up parental support while you attend that one-hour-a-week dance class you’ve been thinking about.  It could be a change in your perspective on something.  It could be pushing yourself to wake up early for that spin class, or to meditate in your living room before the kids wake up.

Think about what small changes can you make for your personal happiness or growth.
